Joe Scrocca

Joe Scrocca (Joseph John Scrocca Jr) is a stand up comic based in Cape May County, NJ. Joe started doing standup on 12/14/2023 at the age of 62. With no prior experience Joe hit the ground running. Joe reached the semifinals in the 2024 Funniest Person in Delmarva comedy competition. Joe was selected to perform 3 shows at the 2024 Meadowlands Comedy Festival (The Roosevelt, The Copacabana and Hudson Burgers and Beers). Joe has performed at Rodney’s in New York City, Ms Ceily’s Blues in Turnersville NJ, Dream Big Venues in Delmar, DE, Sadman Comedy Café in Boca Raton, FL and many other venues. Joe has performed to date in 5 states (NY, NJ, PA, DE & FL) Joe has been a guest on Tony Walker’s Knock Em Dead comedy podcast from Governors Comedy Club in Long Island, NY, Matt Nappo’s Coffee With the Dog comedy podcast, and Scott Townsends Your Comedy Minute comedy podcast. Joe’s first podcast interview was on his son’s Blacktooth Podcast.

Joe’s comedy is story telling based on events Joe has experienced during his lifetime. Although Joe is new to stand up, he has told many of these stories to friends over the years. However, to make them work on stage Joe realized he had to refine his stories to make them shorter and get to the punch fast. Joe has been complemented by audience members, fellow comics as well as venue owners and promoters. Specifically, the compliments are about Joe’s writing, stage presence, delivery and over all ability to read a crowd. Although Joe has a pre-planned set list, he can change it on the fly depending on the crowd.
